PROBLEMS OF ETHNO-CULTURAL IDENTITY (COMPARATIVE-HISTORICAL ASPECT)

The aim of this work is to describe the national and cultural features of the “English linguistic personality”, it is achieved by revealing the main concepts of the linguistic “picture of the world” perceived by the English people. The article describes the national character and national identity, the conception of “Englishness” and “Britishness”.
