Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to identify persistent stereotypes regarding Muslims and Catholic Christians in American linguistic culture. Confessional groups often create stereotypes from non-religious positions that aggressively impose their opinions on American society. The material under study allows us to draw a conclusion on how the formation of identity takes place with respect to stereotypical ideas about the “Alien” implemented in the communicative activities of the international community. The category of confessional stereotype is presented taking into account various approaches and interpretations.
