The article discusses the Finnish policy in the sphere of safety. The partnership with NATO contains the basis of this policy. Finland has never joined any military alliances and keeps being devoted to the policy of neutrality. However, there are enough political forces inside the country that look forward to Finland joining the alliance. The Finnish Government officially keeps following the policy of non-joining any military or political blocs. The position of Russia about the problem concerned is as following, Finland should keep being the neutral state.
