The article discusses the results of the meeting between the leaders of the Republic of Finland and the People's Republic of China, held in April 2017 in Helsinki. The history of bilateral state relations and the current political state are analyzed. The analysis of the Finnish scientific, technological and innovational systems and its significance for China as an example in modern economic development is given. The possibilities of expanding cooperation between Finland and China are being explored.
