        <p>The paper analyzes the artistic features of the first Finnish novel novel by A. Kivi "Seven brothers". The paper discusses the way the novel to the reader the attitude of the conservative Finnish literary critics of the XIX century. At the end of the article notes the role of the novel in the history of Finnish literature.</p>
