This article is devoted to the history of St. Petersburg Emperor University’s faculty of physics and math’s, which was one of the most important centers of science and education in Russian Empire. The main problem that resolved in this research is the exploration of the faculty’s structure and the changes it suffered. The second object we paid attention to is the special aspects of the faculty’s collective portrait of the teacher’s stuff, which were analyzed in comparison with other faculties and university in the whole.
